Experience A Beautifully Complete Smile With Dentures

If you're missing one or more teeth, dentures are a reliable solution to restore your smile and confidence!

What Are Dentures?

Dentures are a trusted, tailored, and effective restorative treatment option for patients with missing teeth. These are removable solutions that are custom-fitted to your jaw and the shape of your gums.

There are two types of dentures available at our practice: complete dentures and partial dentures.

  • Complete Dentures: These dentures are a full set of prosthetic teeth used to replace all teeth in your upper and/or lower jaw. In most cases, full denture sets are required when all teeth must be removed or have been lost for oral health reasons caused by tooth absence.
  • Partial Dentures: Partial dentures are a treatment solution available to patients who need to fill spots for one or a few missing teeth. They are also referred to as “removable dentures” and are made up of one or more prosthetic teeth and used when nearby teeth are not strong enough to hold a bridge as well.

Procedure Process For Dentures

Complete dentures and partial dentures have a different fitting process. In the case of complete dentures, the dentist takes a mold of your mouth and fits the full set of prosthetic teeth from that mold. The dentures are secured to the gums and mouth.

Partial dentures, on the other hand, are designed to anchor to other teeth. Our dentist will take measurements of your mouth and design the denture to “clip” onto other teeth in your mouth. This provides secure placement while still being removable.

Caring For Your Restorations

After getting dentures, our dentist will fully inform you of the best practices for wearing and caring for them. Here are some quick tips on how to effectively care for your dentures:

  • Daily Cleaning: Like natural teeth, complete and partial dentures require daily cleaning. If not, tartar and plaque can accumulate on your dentures, resulting in gum disease, discoloration, and foul breath. Gum disease and cavities can result from denture plaque spreading to your natural teeth and gums.
  • Monitor Your Dentures: Dentures can break if dropped or squeezed too tightly. Be careful with them and consistently check them for cracks. Call us ASAP if you identify cracks!
