• Digital X-Rays

  • X-rays allow us to detect issues patients may not even know exist. This technology produces radiographic images of the face, neck, and head region. This gives Dr. Becvar and his team insight they would not have otherwise.

    What is digital X-ray imaging?

X-rays produce black and white images of your head region, including your teeth and bones. These images are taken instantly, giving you results regarding your oral health faster than ever. We keep these images on file and can be easily emailed.

Why should I have digital X-ray images taken?

    Establish Medical History

During your initial visit at AAA Health Centered Dentistry, X-ray images help Dr. Becvar and his team assess the state of your overall oral health. This also gives us something to reference to see if anything has changed.

    Uncover Issues

X-ray images show oral issues such as wisdom teeth that are developing under the surface of your teeth or jaw. They show when wisdom teeth are coming in so Dr. Becvar and his team members can determine whether or not they need to be extracted. Many wisdom don’t have enough room to surface properly and can shift other teeth to make room. With this technology, we can spot issues like this sooner than ever and save a patient from pain, discomfort, and often costly treatments in the future.

Digital X-ray images help us diagnose issues we wouldn’t be able to see with the naked eye. We are able to detect and treat problems before they worsen. Often times we are able to combat oral issues before you experience any symptoms. This can potentially save you from painful and costly procedures later on.

    X-ray images help us detect:

    • Tooth decay hidden by fillings
    • Bone infections
    • Cavities between teeth
    • Periodontal disease
    • Tumors
    • Cysts or abscesses

How do I know if I should have a digital X-ray image taken?

Dr. Becvar or one of his team members will consider several factors such as your age, risk of disease, and family and medical history to determine your need for X-ray images.
